Announcing Carousel Beret

Carousel Beret

a design by Connie Haney

Pattern includes directions for Beret Version and Slouch Version!

Baby = 14” – 16” head circumference
Child/Pre-Teen = 17” – 19” head circumference
Adult = 20” – 23” head circumference

This pattern isn’t at all hard, but I wouldn’t call it a beginner pattern either. You should be familiar with increasing and decreasing and knitting in the round.

Pattern includes directions for Beret Version and Slouch Version. The font for each is a different color in the pattern to help you follow along more easily.

A floppy beret in 2 versions with a picot hem and decorative ribbon row, with a cute tied i-cord loop at the top.

For the beret version the top of the hat tilts easily like a beret. The slouch version is more rounded, sits flat and doesn’t tilt as much. It can sit at the top of the head like a beret, but looks better pulled down more like a cloche.

Iced Coffee Sweat-R

Iced Coffee Sweat-R

a design by Connie Haney

Pattern includes directions for crocheted and knitted bottom!

You know no matter if you are in the cool air of AC in your car, coffee house, or your home that condensation drips from your cup and drips on your clothes, knitting or book and is a constant aggravation.

Now you don’t have to use a coaster or napkin that sticks to your cup and doesn’t work anyway! Just use an Iced Coffee Sweat-R! It will soak up all of those drips and looks pretty darn cute too!

I’ve used these on a Large Coffee Coolata at Dunkin Donuts and they fit! They also can be used as a cola can cover and the cord lock cinches it on so it doesn’t slip off!

Tuck the top down inside the bottom and use the cord lock and pull to close tight and you have a cute little ball to throw in your purse or glove compartment, that way it’s always handy for your Iced Coffee fix for the day!

You can pick up the cord locks in assorted colors for penny’s at Hancock Fabrics or find them online.

Coffee Cozy

Coffee Cozy

A quick and easy crochet project!

Crochet Coffee Corset01

This little coffee cup cozy is quick and easy to make and will protect your fingers from that hot coffee. Use these instead of the paper ones at the coffee house and save a tree and go green! Less trash for the landfill! They are quickly stashed into your purse to use on that next coffee run.

You’ll need some ribbon, a bit of yarn and less than an hour to create your own little Corset Cozy! They also work great for soda cans to keep your fingers from getting chilly.

These make great gifts and stocking stuffers! Be prepared to get lots of compliments!

Flora Headband and Pyramid Pouch

2 NEW patterns up for Sale...purchase buttons below!

I have been working hard the last 2 weeks trying to get some of my pattern designs up online.
I am still tweaking my Bow-licious Babe and Carousel Beret and should have them available before mid October. But for now I have my Pyramid Pouch and Flora Headband patterns ready.

If you are on Ravelry you can see them and all of my designs here. If not you can also find them at www.behappydesigns.com

You can find Flora and Pyramid Pouch under my Crochet Patterns section.

Above is the Pyramid Pouch. This is very quick and easy to make and would also look adorable for baby gifts. Just make one in white and add a blue or pink ribbon closure. If you know the baby will be a boy or girl ahead of time then crochet the pouch in blue or pink too. They are a lot of fun and a good excuse to use up that ole acrylic yarn you have hiding.

This is Flora and I designed this back in June and I'm very proud of how it turned out. These stay in place very well and the design makes them very adjustable. I love how the closure looks like a flower, hence the name... Flora!

I’m very honored that my Carousel Beret will be in the “1000 Fabulous Knit Hats” book!
A definitive and inspirational collection of hand knit hats by Rockport Published, presented by Annie Modesitt.
